Inspired by the Hamptons and traditional East Coast architecture, Caruana homes are designed in the classic “shingle style” popular in the early 1900’s as vacation cottages along the north eastern seaboard. Paul Caruana has a great respect for traditional design, but realizes that modern-day living has a different set of challenges. With this in mind, Paul creates new houses with respect to traditional architecture, but suited to the lifestyle that people live today. All work is done in close conjunction with his design team to ensure that every design detail is thought of.
Our design team includes the architect who captures the technical specifics of the house design, the interior designer who pulls together the inside details, and the landscape designer who transitions the house into the natural landscape. All design is planned from the very beginning, so that the house and its surroundings work as a cohesive unit.
We try to create homes that give a sense of unveiling themselves as you view them and as you walk through them, rather than homes that are "easily interpreted". Take a look at our interior and exterior photo galleries above, and let us know what you think.
